Double the Host Rewards!

For this month only, you can get double the amount of half-priced items when you host a party. This can be done either through a home party or a basket party. Below is a breakdown of what you can recieve when hosting a party this month.

Bring Back My Bar!

For this month only (January), Scentsy is bringing back 20 of their most popular scents that have been 'retired'. This is a great opportunity to rediscover some old loves or discover some new loves! Each bar is priced at $6.

January Warmer and Scent of the Month

This month's warmer that is 10% off is called 'Valentine'.
"Valentine is the perfect way to say 'be mine'. An innocent design in snowy white with fluted edges and daring details, Valentine is tied up with a pretty polka dot ribbon and accented by a cherry-red heart pendant made of glass."

This month's scent that is 10% off is called 'Linger'.
" A perfect moment has a way of leaving behind a lovely trace, a whisper of a memory. Pink grapefruit, sugared apple, lavish praline, and flirty marshmallow create a fragrance that says 'stay'."

Scentsy Haul

I got another package today. I am really starting to love having a little UPS box at my door. It seems like Christmas everyday!

In my package I recieved:

This warmer is called 'Sol' and I love it. The detail on it is amazing!

This warmer is called 'Jane' and is one of the most popular warmers. With the light on, it looks super elegant and sophisticated. I think it would look good in any home or office.

I also received 6 wax bars:
- Blueberry Cheesecake
- Central Park Pralines
- French Lavender
- Kahiko Hula
- Snowberry
- Sticky Cinnamon Bun

Our place is going to smell all kinds of AMAZING!

Launch Party!

I finally did it! I had my first-ever Scentsy party!! I decided to do an open house at my in-laws place this past Saturday. It worked out perfectly because my husband just finished renovating their kitchen, so the guests got a 2 for 1 deal out of it. The guests that were invited were neighbours of my in-laws, so nobody that I knew very well at all.

I was very nervous  for what the open house would entail. I had never tried to introduce Scentsy to a bunch of people before, let alone hope that they would purchse something from me. In the end, I surpassed my personal goal for sales which I am VERY happy about. I know that this definitely would not have been possible without some of the wonderful and supportive people that I have in my life (you know who you are!)

Preparing for the open house did require some work, but that's probably because I like to be crazy organized. I will not say that I am a perfectionist, only very organized. This all paid off though because I felt ready to provide the necessary information to the guests and not be super scared of how I unprofessional I would look. On the contrary, I think that I pulled it off pretty well, if I do say so myself!

My mother-in-law and I had a baking day earlier in the week so that we could feed the guests some delicious bites of goodness. Here is a picture of some of the lovely foods we prepared:

(You also get a little glimpse at the renovated kitchen)

Some pointers that I would give for having your first Scentsy party would be:
- Be confident. People won't believe what you are telling them if you are unsure of what you are saying.
- Be clear. Don't confuse people by trying to tell them a million things at once.
- Smile. People like to be around happy people.
- Put your finger in the hot wax and show people how safe it is. Also, explain that it is a food grade wax.
- Don't be afraid to talk to people. Interact and try to find common interests with people so you can build a good relationship with them.
- Have fun! It is a party afterall and you are trying to share the joy of having Scentsy in your home!
- Don't rush people into making decisions. Give them their options and work with them on what would best suit them. People don't like to feel rushed or overwhelmed.

Unfortunately, I did not get any parties booked from my launch party but that's okay. I am just starting out and need to get my name out there first. It may seem discouraging but I can do it and so can anybody else that is just starting out. Everything will pay off soon enough.

Happy partying all!

And so it begins...

I was patiently awaiting the arrival of my starter kit from Scentsy headquarters in Idaho this week. I had no clue what day it would arrive so the anticipation was killing me! The UPS man delivered it on Friday afternoon while my husband and I were at his parents house. Did you know that UPS can just leave your package at your door?? We came home to find my nice little 27lb package propped up against our door. Somebody could have taken my box full of goodies and ran away forever! Thankfully, this didn't actually happen. Instead, I brought the lovely box inside and prompty opened it so my husband and I could start smelling all of the 80 delicious scents. It was quite a marvelous experience.

I bet some of you are wondering "What exactly comes in a Scentsy Starter Kit?" Well, I shall show you.

Every kit gets the same contents, except you don't get to pick the warmer, scent buddy, or the scents of the room spray, scent circle, scent pak or wax bar. Luckily, I got all delicious scents and cute little Ribbert the Frog (shown in the picture above). The exact contents are listed below:

• Consultant Binder (1)
• New Consultant Start-Up Guide (1)

Overall, I am completely satisfied with my Starter Kit. It's a bit overwhelming to try and understand everything that Scentsy entails, but the New Consultant Start-Up Guide helped to answer many of my questions. I am excited to start organizing everything to help ensure that I can run a smooth business. So the question now is, who wants to party with me and my scents? :)

The Start of Something New

I decided to sign-up to become an independent Scentsy consultant a couple of days ago. I had never really heard about the company until one of my good friends started talking about it a lot on Facebook. Basically, the company promotes a flameless, wickless candle. This sounded kinda crazy to me, so I had to do a little research on it. After spending hours of watching YouTube videos and reading stuff online, I decided that I would take the plunge and join Scentsy as well. I have never seen or felt the product, so I guess you could say that I went out on a limb with this one.

As some of you may or may not already know, I finished school in July and haven't been working since. I have looked into things like Pampered Chef and Mary Kay, but they all just didn't seem to sit right with me. For some reason, when I started looking into Scentsy, I felt like it was something I needed to try.

I'm not going to lie, I am really nervous and frankly, scared out of my mind! I see the success that people have had with this business and I feel like I need to accomplish that right away or I will be a failure. Obviously, that's not a very good way to look at things, so I have tried to take a step back and build everything up slowly. I love to organize, so I have begun to make lists of things to buy, questions that I need answered, things I need to accomplish and any ideas that may come to my mind. Does it sound weird that I am very excited about getting everything organized? Probably...but oh well.

Since joining Scentsy, I now have my own website (yay!). The link is http://www.nataliefuller.scentsy.ca/ so go and check it out!

Well, hopefully my starter kit will arrive tomorrow at my door. I wanted everyone to come along with me on my "Scentsy Journey" as I learn about myself and the people that I come in contact with. I'm so excited to see my confidence grow and to be happy with the life that I am laying out for myself.

So, without further adieu, let the journey begin!
